The teaser for the third season of the popular web series Hostel Daze was released on Tuesday. The comedy-drama genre show tracks the lives of a group of friends in an engineering college hostel. Each season focuses on one year of their academic calendar.
The first season of Hostel Daze was released on 13th December 2019. While the second season of Hostel Daze was released on 23rd July 2021. After the success of two seasons, the TVF team come with the third season. The release date of season 3 is set to be on 16th November 2022. As per the previous two seasons this time also the show will be released on Amazon Prime Video. The final trailer is yet to come.
The new season sees the gang enter engineering college’s ‘mid-life crisis’– the third year.
The teaser begins with some glimpses and a little recap of the first two seasons as the narrator explains how each year in an engineering college hostel is so amazing and different. Then scene come to the third year and new footage, which the narrator describes as the “hostel’s mid-life crisis”. “Just like a lamp flutter before extinguishing, an engineer bubbles up in the third year,” says the voiceover as we see the lead characters encounter a variety of new situations, facing from new girls on the campus to new romantic angles.
This is followed by Jatin aka Jhantoo (Nikhil Vijay) leading a group of students in a protest against the college before the crowd is dispersed by angry guards. The montage that followed showed the various guest appearances on the show this season. The one that caught many fans’ eye was Raju Srivastava, who appears to be playing a tea shop vendor or paan walla around the campus. This is the last appearance of the late actor Raju Srivastav. The veteran actor passed away on 25 December 1963.
Hostel Daze Season is created by The Viral Fever (TVF) & directed by Abhinav Anand. The third season will premiere on Prime Video on November 16.
