Bangalore: National Cricket Academy head VVS Laxman will be India’s acting lead trainer for the upcoming visit to Zimbabwe as there is just a short time required to circle back between the series and the Asia Cup beginning on August 27 in the UAE, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said on Friday. “Indeed, VVS Laxman will be in charge of the Indian team in Zimbabwe for the three-match ODI series. “Since just KL and Hooda are there with the ODI crew in Zimbabwe, it was just coherent that the lead trainer would accompany the T20 crew.”

The three ODIs in Zimbabwe will be played in Harare on August 18, 20 and 22.

Shah likewise informed that KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda will straightforwardly fly from Dubai to Harare as they are important for the Asia Cup squad.
