Kargil Vijay Diwas

Wishes of Kargil Vijay Diwas | Salute to the Brave Hearts |

India is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas on Tuesday. On this day in 1999, the Kargil War, otherwise called the Kargil conflict, officially reached a conclusion, with Indian soldiers effectively recovering mountain heights that had been seized by Pakistani intruders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and different pioneers, including Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, took to Twitter to honor the officers who lost their lives on July 26, 1999.

Taking twitter PM Modi quoted “Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of pride and glory of Maa Bharati. On this occasion, my salute to all the brave sons of the country who have accomplished their valor in defense of the motherland. Jai Hind!”

Rajnath Singh tweeted “On Kargil Vijay Diwas, India salutes the bravery, courage and sacrifice of our armed forces. They fought valiantly in extremely harsh conditions to defend our motherland. Their act of valor & indomitable spirit will remain etched forever as a defining moment in India’s history.”

Tending to the ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ occasion in Jammu, Mr. Singh said that Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) was, is, and will constantly stay a basic piece of India. “We are focused on the goal passed in the Parliament on PoK. PoK was, is and will continuously stay an integral part of India. How could it be conceivable that Baba Amarnath (Lord Shiva’s structure) is in India and Maa Sharda Shakti is across the Line of Control,” he said.

Today, soldiers recall their comrade by lighting a candle at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras, which is situated 5 km away from the downtown area across the Tiger Hill in Jammu and Kashmir. The relatives of the Martyrs also participated in the function to honor the martyrs. The military melodic band also honored the warriors.

Because of our Bravehearts, the tricolor flutters in a magnificent way in the mountains of Kargil. The martyrs were offered recognition by the soldiers and their family members by saluting the tricolor.
