INS Satpura of Indian Navy to Participate in Multinational Exercise in Australia

New Delhi: INS Satpura and a maritime patrol aircraft of the Indian Naval force have arrived at Darwin in Australia to participate in global Activity Kakadu-2022, facilitated by the Royal Australian Naval forces, the defense ministry said on Tuesday.
INS Satpura and P-8I Maritime Patrol Aircraft arrived at Darwin on September 12.

“The fourteen-day long activity, both in harbor and ocean, includes ships and maritime aircraft from 14 naval forces. During the harbor period of the activity, the boat’s group will participate in functional planning interactions and sports exercises with taking part naval forces,” the ministry said in a proclamation.

In the meantime, in another articulation, the defense ministry said the Indian Air Force contingent taking part in Exercise Pitch Black 22 in Australia has returned after fruitful cooperation in the global activity.

“Exercise Pitch Black 22 was facilitated by the Royal Australian Air Force at its Darwin Air Base. Traversing more than three weeks, the activity saw the participation of 17 Air Forces and more than 2,500 military personnel. The IAF contingent included four Su-30 MKI and two C-17 aircraft. The taking part forces participated in different multi-aircraft battle drills by constantly, simulating complex aerial situations, including enormous arrangements,” it said.

The activity gave an open door to the air forces to share best practices and experiences. The occasion saw a cooperative soul that has prompted a superior comprehension of one another’s capacities and bonhomie that will prompt “getting through ties between the participating countries,” the assertion said
