The BCCI on Sunday revealed the new T20 jersey both for the Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams. The uncovering comes a month ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia one month from now and two days before India’s T20I series against Australia. The BCCI took to Twitter to declare this “To every cricket fan out there, this one’s for you. Presenting the all-new T20 Jersey – One Blue Jersey.”
The jersey contains a light blue shirt with sleeves of a hazier shade of blue, matched with light blue tracks.
The banner for the new shirt featured men’s and women’s team captains Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur respectively. They are flanked by Suryakumar Yadav, Shafali Verma, Hardik Pandya and Renuka Singh.
The Indian men’s team is preparing for a three-match T20I series against Australia at home. They will then have South Africa for as many T20 Internationals.
While an ODI series against South Africa will follow, their next task in the most limited format will be straightforwardly the 2022 T20 World Cup, which starts in October in Australia.
The ladies’ group is presently in Britain, playing an ODI series against the hosts. They as of late lost the T20I series against Britain 1-2.
