In 2013 Pakistan declare to set up a World Class Educational Institution like IIT India in Pakistan naming it Information Technology University (ITU).
On the 10th of July Dr. Umar Saif, an academic also serving as an advisor to the United Nations Development Programme in Pakistan, took to Twitter to show how a site marked for a college campus has been turned into a “Bakra Mandi (Goat market).”
Govt marked this site for Main Campus (ITU), which now turned into a Parking base for Goat Seller.
In 2016 Saif explained in an article for The Express Tribune, that his dream to establish a research university for technology in Pakistan that will follow the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT’s) program structure.
