Asked about some information about CBI’s plea looking for the custody of the accused, Sanjay Das said, “According to CBI, there is a bigger conspiracy, and the investigation will be hampered if the blamed are released.”
“The CBI is doing an investigation for 4-5 months and has presented the charge sheet in the WBSSC trick without closing the investigation,” Das said. Adding that the CBI in the Court underlined that the cross-examination of the accused mentioned in the charge sheet has been covered and further interrogation is forthcoming of other blamed people who are absent here.
“We argue that if the investigation of the accused mentioned in the charge sheet is covered, then why they should be under the agency’s custody?” Das told ANI. “The CBI is demonstrating a bigger scheme, that’s what we contended if it was a bigger conspiracy, what provoked you to present the charge sheet so briskly? You ought to have paused,” Das said further.
In the interim, Prosecuting the CBI for cunningly utilizing lacunae of the law, and presenting the charge sheet so right on time without finishing up the investigation, Sanjay Das says that they have presented the charge sheet so ahead of schedule without closing the inquiry so the accused stays in the slammer, without getting bail.
“The CBI told the Court that time of six months around will be needed to investigate 350 others in the case. But as the premier agency took more than 4 months and examined just 10 accused, we don’t think that the CBI will finish its deadline on time.” Sanjay Das told ANI.
